Prayer meeting 10-10.15am
We have a regular prayer meeting before our service which is open to all. We believe, as Charles Spurgeon did, that prayer is the boiler room for the church.
Main Service 10:30-12pm
As a Bible-believing church, our main emphasis is faithful teaching from the Word of God -the Bible - normally on a verse-by-verse approach, as ‘All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.’ 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV).
Our music team leads us in a time of worship with a mix of biblically focused newer songs and older hymns followed by the sermon.
During the sermon, we have a Sunday school for age-appropriate teaching, see 'Sunday School' below. Throughout the entire service, there are creche facilities with a live A/V link.
Following the sermon, we have some closing songs and on the 2nd Sunday of every month, a special time of remembering the Lord Jesus, where believers present are invited to share communion together. Everyone is welcome to stay for the short communion service.
Fellowship
As a church, we also value our time of fellowship before and after our Sunday morning service, not just because it's in the name of the church, but because it's the pattern of the early church laid out in scripture: ‘They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.’ Acts 2:42 (NIV).
This time of fellowship after our Sunday service includes free tea, filtered coffee, cold drinks, normally some biscuits and on occasions birthday cake!
We also host regular bring-and-share lunches every few months.
‘As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.’ Proverbs 27:17 (NIV).

At Grace Fellowship we want everyone to know and be able to understand what the Bible teaches. This is why we have classes that allow children to discover what God has said to us in a way they can understand and enjoy.
We have two age based classes which run from 11.00 am to 12.00 am every Sunday.
Sparks Key Stage 1 children - school classes Reception to Year 2
Ignite Key Stage 2 children – school classes Year 3 to Year 6
Each group will look at a Bible story each week and learn who, what, where, when and how. The teachers will share why the story is important and to enable the kids to know what it means for them. Each week there will be a crafts or other activity that builds on the fun and learning. Our teachers are all DBS checked and have been trained in accordance to our Child Protection Policy. We would be happy to have your children join us on any given Sunday morning at 11.00
“Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6
- An unstructured free play time where the children can use a variety of large & small toys and play equipment, as well as making a 'take home' craft item.
- A snack time, offering a choice of snacks. Please bring a drink for your child. All the children enjoy snack time together as a group.
- A short singing & story time, which usually includes meeting Bubbles the toy hippo, a Bible Story, and a variety of well-known nursery rhymes and Christian songs.
- Refreshments are available for the Grown Ups.
- The final part of the session is for active play often with parachute games, a slide and various ride on toys.

We meet as a church every Wednesday 8-9pm, except during the school holidays. Our mid-week meetings alternate between praying together (‘And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.’ Ephesians 6:18 NIV), and also studying the Bible together (‘for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.’ Acts 17:11 NIV).
The meetings are led by a member of the church, and everyone is welcome to join and pray and learn together as we study the Bible. You do not have to pray or contribute out loud if you don’t wish to.
More recently, our midweek meetings have taken place on Zoom to allow for both parents of young children to attend and a greater chance for those who have had long days at work to quickly join in. Moving forward, our hope is to enjoy a hybrid meeting, where those who want to, can meet together in a church member’s home, whilst also keeping the option to join the meeting via a Zoom link for those unable to attend in person.
Please do not hesitate to contact us for more information, Zoom login details or for the location of our midweek meeting. We would love you to join us.
Friday Club is an aptly named (although not very original) youth club that meets on a Friday night! We are open for all those who are secondary school aged who want to come and hang out with others once a month for games, food, friendship and fun. Our evenings start at 6:30pm and finish at 9:00pm. We have a variety of activities each month, from nerf gun battles, quizzes or games in the summer evening sunshine in the local park. There is also time each evening to sit and share a meal together - a variety of wondrous culinary creations from Paul.
The club is run by members of Grace Fellowship who all have heart for young people, to give them a fun evening in a safe and caring environment. Why? You might ask. We are Christians who believe that Jesus Christ came to give us life and live it abundantly (John 10:10), part of that is having fun, building relationships and enjoying the simple things in life. But more than that, we want to share our faith with all those who come. 'But how can they call on Him to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them?' (Romans 10:14). So, each Friday we have a dedicated time to share something from the bible.
Friday club leaders have all be DBS checked and the club follows the churches safeguarding policy in having the correct adult to child ratios as well as ensuring that there are both male and female leaders present each Friday.

- To discuss what God is doing in our lives and the practical difficulties we face as ordinary men trying to lead Godly lives and to thank and praise Him for His goodness to us. The discussions we have take place in an atmosphere of openness and confidentiality is assured. Sometimes we will listen to pre-recorded sermons and have recently been following RC Sproll.
- To fellowship, have a meal and spend time together
Sometimes we may use our time together for a social activity such as playing golf or ten pin bowling so we could meet away from the church or possibly on a different day. If you would like to come along, it’s always worth checking with John Tanton first when and where the next meeting is going to be or check out the church calendar.
