From Darkness to Light

Carole reads John Ch 9 ver 1 - 34. Colin continues our series in Johns gospel. We've already seen that the apostle John was fond of symbolism. He often used the imagery of light and darkness. Back in chapter 1, we read that he told us that the Word was the light of men that shone in the darkness but that the darkness didn't understand or couldn't overcome it. Following that, two chapters later, Jesus gave the verdict that light had come into the world but that the world preferred darkness rather than light because its deeds were evil.
