Attentive sheep or rebellious goats?

This week Martin reads From Johns Gospel, Chapter 10 and verses 22 to 42. Colin's sermon this week comes to the moment when Jesus turns from public ministry to just His disciples and despite all of Jesus’ miraculous signs and despite his teaching, the Jewish leaders still didn't believe. Their request for him to tell them reveal his identity openly was a trap to bring him into conflict with Rome. He had given them all the evidence they needed to determine who he was. Their problem was not lack of evidence but unbelief. He told them clearly that they were not his sheep for his sheep recognize his voice, receive eternal life and constant protection. Are we willing to follow him, or do we cling on to our own independence and demand more evidence?
